Liberty Farm Order Form for Pork and Beef

Organic Pork and Beef Available
from Liberty Farm, Shoreham, VT

James and Sarah Elworthy are young farmers in Shoreham, Vermont. James and Chris became good friends at Green Mountain College, both studying agriculture. James started his organic dairy farm this year and has been selling milk to the Organic Valley Co-operative and several local raw milk customers. He is also raising laying hens, some chickens for meat for the family, several pigs, and several beef cattle. He continues to bring in outside income working for organic grain and hay growers in his area, which has a strong organic dairying tradition.

The animals are treated with exceptional care. Beef is pasture raised all organic. Pork is pasture raised and fed all organic and local grains. The quality of the meat is excellent, Chris and Christy can attest. This is an opportunity for you to increase your family’s food security by filling the freezer with soundly raised meat. You can feel good about eating meat that has been raised completely outside of the factory farming system and supporting young farmers with a good conscience and an intact sense of idealism.


Chris and Christy will be house-sitting and doing barn chores for James and Sarah while they enjoy their honeymoon in February (they were married this summer). We will be returning to Wrentham in early February with frozen meat that you have ordered from James. It will be distributed at White Barn Farm in Wrentham. We will send an email to coordinate pick-up details. James is now accepting deposits for shares of his meat.

Beef
  • All shares include a full range of cuts: ground sirloins, roasts, so on
  • Beef comes in 50, 100, or 200 lb boxes
  • Beef is $7.00/lb Pork is $6.50/lb
  • Deposits of $100 are required for beef
Pork
  • All shares include a full range of cuts: sausage, bacon, roasts, chops
  • Pork comes in 25, 50, or 75 lb boxes
  • Pork is $6.50/lb
  • Deposits of $50 are required for pork
Meat will be ready late Feb. if ordered soon.
It will be available, frozen, at White Barn Farm in early February.
If ordered after January 1, 2009, the next round is available in June.

Order before January 30 2009 for the first round.
