- Welcome to Liberty Farm in Shoreham, Vermont. We have an organic dairy operation in start-up mode with 40 organic certified cows, 1/2 of which are currently milking cows. We are also raising organic beef and pork that will be sold in shares to first come first serve (check out the site for more information).
Well, James and Sarah, you did it! Your mother and I are so very proud of you guys, and wish you all the success in the world! Moving back to Poultney-can you believe it? What a beautiful home your farm will make for many, many years to come. You both have worked very hard to make this dream come true! It has been fun being part of the move (the hardest work I have ever had to do)and I know how much you guys appreciated all the help from us and Sarah's family. I saw it written all over both of your faces! It has also been interesting to watch all of your fellow farmer friends (Joe & Kathleen, Jeep, Marcel and many more) willing to help, and share equipment during the move, and also, over the past couple of years. You are blessed with good friends! The long hours you have put into the start up of Liberty Farm seem to be paying off and I know that the farm and your products will only get better. Being very proud parents, this is very exciting to think about. Mom and I can't wait to make a return trip to Poultney and I'm looking forward to our share of organic beef that is waitng for us in the freezer. Tell "Dory" that I will bring her an apple the next time I'm at the farm.
